Custom pultrusions can be manufactured to meet a customer's specific requirements:

• Shape: A wide variety of custom shapes can be pultruded.
  
  
• Reinforcements: Other types of reinforcements are possible beyond the standard reinforcements of FRP products: fiberglass or carbon fibers in multi-filament strands, mat, woven fabrics or stitched fabric.
  
  
• Resin Matrix: To address special needs that arise from high temperatures and special environments resin systems can be modified or special resins used. Typical resins include polyesters, vinyl esters, epoxies, phenolics, urethanes and blend.
  
  
• Composite Design: The selection of the resin mix, the type and form of reinforcements, and the placement of reinforcements within the composite are all ways a composite design can be customized.
  
  

Large to Small

Custom FRP products can be made from large to small, depending on the particular application.

Thick to Thin

Thin-walled profiles with wall thicknesses under .070" (1.78 mm) are possible, as well as parts as thick as 2" (50.8 mm) or more.

Complex to Simple

Pultrusions range from multi-cavity, thin-walled, close tolerance parts to simple strips, angles or tubes.

Cores

Core materials can include foam, wood, aluminum, steel, polyethylene and others.
